i started college at the university of central arkansas. after a year there, i decided to transfer over to the university of southern california (usc), where i graduated from in may of 2025. i graduated from usc with a BA in International Relations and Global Business. was the education worth the 300k - hell no. however, the experience was. i learned a lot about myself, with the most important lesson being to always do what’s best for me.
here are my transcripts 🫶
professional メperiences
september of 2025 - october of 2025: Rippling
what i worked as: Customer Support Specialist
what i did: i worked here for a month. I learned everything there was to know about Rippling HRIS documents. i made sure to connect with my team and manager, asked lots of questions, and remained engaged throughout the Zoom meetings.
biggest takeaway: the corporate world ain’t for me.
january of 2024 - may of 2025: Hoontos
what i worked as: Co-Founder/CEO
what i did: led Hoontos from concept to launch by conducting market research, validating ideas with customer discovery, developing the go-to-market strategy, holding team, partner and investor meetings, and creating the sales playbook
takeaways:
1. the importance of having a solid team made up of people who are radically open minded and transparent; people who are able to view themselves from an objective standpoint and admit when they’re wrong; and people who respect others and hold themselves accountable.
2. when you’re building anything, don’t get caught up with the little things, product wise. the sooner you realize this, the more quickly you’re able to get feedback from your users, or clients, iterate, and get your product in their hands again to get more feedback.
january of 2025 - may of 2025: Talent Scout
what i worked as: Business Development Associate
what i did: scheduled product demos, talked with investors, shared product feedback with our devs to improve the product
biggest takeaway: the importance of leveraging personal relationships, in this case the CEO’s relationships, to secure those first clients and build early traction. building early traction is necessary so that the team is motivated to continue putting in the work.
summer of 2024: Biennial of the Americas
what i worked as: Community Engagement Officer
what i did: kept track of partnerships, prepared materials for events, and helped measure outreach results to improve community engagement
biggest takeaway: the importance of communicating with your manager to ensure you’re completing your assigned tasks the way they want you to.
2021 - 2025 (summers): Machete Tequila + Tacos
what i worked as: Host, Food Runner, Busser, Barback, Red Rock’s Kiosk Server
what i did: greeted guests, cleaned up after guests, served food, talked with guests, made guests laugh, prepped food, washed dishes
biggest takeaways: the restaurant industry is a great place to work short term, but not long term (my own opinion). and don’t get anxious when u have eyes on u. do ur thing and trust in ur ability to get it done.
